Three days of big-air competition, recovery and coastal hospitality.
The event
Wind, Water & Wellness brings competition-level kiteboarding to Kite Beach. The Wind Games set the format: three days of big-air heats and open games for every level, with every jump measured by SURFR.
The event is photographed to the standard of the world's leading big-air competitions: riders at full height, the crowd on the beach, the safety crew on the water, and the Kite Beach clubhouse at the centre of it all.
The new Kite Beach clubhouse is the event's home: white architecture, a rooftop terrace over the water and open sightlines along the beach.
Signature framesThe judges' tower, the riders at the top of the jump and the data behind every attempt. Each jump image in the final gallery carries its SURFR height and airtime.
Signature framesThe ORRA Recovery Club: a mobile sauna, four cold plunges and shade on turf, run as a private members' space beside the competition. Timber, white linen and steam set the tone.
Signature framesPartner products in use on the beach: the rehydration trolley, the matcha counter and NuMuti at the bar. Each partner receives a hero image and an image of the product in hand.
Signature framesAs the wind drops, the Ithemba Youth Choir performs on the beach with Table Mountain behind them. Riders, partners and guests on the sand together as the sun goes down, before the night begins.
Signature framesThe DJ opens from the back of a partner vehicle as the light drops, then moves to the booth. Warm light against cool haze, with partner marks lit rather than printed.
Signature framesLong timber tables beneath a sailcloth tent in front of the clubhouse, the ocean beyond and the braai alongside. Riders, partners and guests at one table.
Signature framesCrew and rider kit, photographed on the people wearing it, with a single flat-lay of the full collection for partners.
Signature framesThe winners on stage before the partner backdrop, the long table in the foreground and the clubhouse behind.
Signature framesAcross the three days we are raising funds and awareness for the NSRI, whose volunteer crews run sea rescue along this coast, and for the Kite Beach Club, who are building a safer home for windsports at Kite Beach.
Give what you can. Every cent goes to the people who keep this beach safe.
